"I have many different goals for what I want to do with this amazing career! I ultimately want to end up specializing in pediatrics and hopefully become a nursing professor many years down the road. I also want to use my nursing skills abroad to provide medical care abroad in areas experiencing crises and will be taking a trip to Nigeria to help open a clinic this year. I joined Men in Nursing because I love to be involved in the community and give back in any way I can, and I want to give this opportunity to others. Men in Nursing also got me fired up about all of the possibilities of nursing, and I hope to share this with those interested in and studying nursing. I think it is important that as a community of future nurses we establish a community of compassion and acceptance so that as nurses we can carry this same attitude throughout our careers."

"Out of all the careers I could have, my dream is to be a certified registered nurse anesthetist. I love volunteering which is why I joined this club. Besides the joy it brings me to see how an individual can impact the community, this club has given me countless opportunities to practice my nursing skills and network. When I'm not in class I spend my time volunteering with CAVE or outside, even if it's just sitting on my porch to drink coffee. I hope to do relief work around the world with this degree and fortunately, I went on my first medical trip to Nigeria last winter."

This winter I will be traveling to Oaxaca, Mexico to volunteer as a student nurse, helping those who do not have access to health care. I joined MIN to become more involved with the other Chico State Nursing semesters, as well as to help reach out to those in need in the community!"

"Although I have many goals for my nursing career, I ultimately want to specialize in critical care. I joined this club as a way to connect with other students and promote health and education in our community. Through MIN I have been connected with so many inspirational individuals and feel proud of the work that we have accomplished. This past winter break I had the opportunity to volunteer in my first medical mission trip at the Kristina Chesterman Memorial Clinic in Ozu Abam, Nigeria. This experience exposed me to a whole new kind of medicine and it really opened my eyes to the value of health care and the resources we take for granted."
