Study Rooms
An event implemented for the first time in December 2018 was proven beneficial for nursing students for all semesters. This simple event provides a quiet group study environment to encourage students of all semester to work together in order to prepare for finals. Snacks and coffee were provided for all in attendance.
May Event
This event was in partnership with the Student Health Advisory Council which is in adjunct with the CSUC Student Health Center. Our members preformed blood pressure checks and educated the community on risk factors for and complications of hypertension.
This was the second part of our professional development series for this semester.
April Event
This event was focused on educating the campus population about organ donation as well as gaining donations by engaging students in voting in the student elections.
April Meeting
During this meeting five CSUC SON graduates discussed their experience with job applications, NCLEX review and transferring licenses. The event was broadcasted live on our Facebook page and attended by our national president and vice president.
March Meeting
March Meeting
This meeting consisted of four guest speakers as well as officer elections for our chapter. Our guest speakers were Dr. Embrey-Edwards (CRNA), Holly Kralj Nurse Midwife, Dr. Hostteter-Lewis DNP and founder of Kristina Chesterman Memorial Clinic, and Nurse Rich Burton BSN MSN.
February Meeting
At this meeting guest speaker Peyton Navarrete spoke about an upcoming volunteer event for this summer. Our chapter also went over merchandise orders, upcoming meetings, and officer elections.
